Hello everybody!
This week, Riv (x) and I had a week long break from school, so on Wednesday, we went to the city. Coming from a relatively small and safe town, going to the city can be a bit scary sometimes. I'm always worried about getting mugged or whatever. But, Riv had her pepper spray, so we were all good. Nothing too bad happened during the trip except when we got off the bus. This sketchy man approached us and offered to buy us a ticket and food. Being smart little girls, we refused and ran away. Not too bad right?

Chelsea Market:
Of course, Riv had to go into a bookstore and have a look around.
After Chelsea Market, we went to Washington Square Park and got lost a bit along the way.
But we made it, don't worry.

Riv got a Red Tea Latte.
The cafe was cute and its drinks were good, so I would recommend it!
Baked by Melissa was right next door, so we had to go in and get cupcakes.
We got chocolate pretzel, cookies and cream, red velvet, and triple chocolate fudge.
I love Baked by Melissa because their cupcakes are so good. Also, one or two bites of a cupcake is just enough. Sometimes I feel like eating a whole cupcake is too much and I get sick of it afterwards. With these tiny cupcakes, I can enjoy different kinds of flavors without feeling sick.
We had some time to kill so Riv, being the bookworm she is, suggested we go to a book store, so we went to The Strand.
And here we have a wild Riv in her natural habitat. See how dumbstruck she is by all these books?
The Strand had some pretty cool covers there and their prices are good (according to Riv). I almost bought The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstren because it was $8, but I really didn't have a use for it, so I didn't buy it.
Afterwards, we took the bus home and enjoyed our cupcakes.
